Malaysian Night 2005

So this is what I did on Saturday night.

I didn't take too much pictures as I was too busy eating (and tried to save my scarf from the threat of collapse ).

This year it was held at Wellington Park Hotel. It was good craic as the Irish would say. The food was the best compared to the four Malaysian Nights I have been to in Belfast these past four years. The turnout wasn't as good as, well, the past Malaysian Nights. But in a way, I got to mingle with a lot of people because of the proximity. Even the Mayor turned out. Impressive.

sape ni? sabar2 jgn emosi Sun 15-May-2005 19:51

Siti Nurhaliza's concert at Royal Albert Hall, London

Before the concert
Royal Albert Hall from Hyde Park

I bet some people are indeed surprised when I decided to join some friends for the concert. I'm not one of Siti Nurhaliza's fans; actually I think she was a bit over-exposed at times. But the concert actually showed her vocal prowess. Her voice was spectacular. The musicians were excellent. The fact that London Symphony Orchestra was there made me overwhelmed; I loved their work in Notting Hill's soundtrack.

Siti Nurhaliza's voice is undisputable, but after she sang four songs in a row without talking to the audience, I was getting a bit bored. Fortunately during her first dress change, Yayasan Warisan Johor and Pak Ngah performed and the crowd went wild. Immediately I was brought 'home.' To make it short, she sort of waved at us (who were waaay up in third floor, last row) or so we thought and we joined in during the joget session of Cindai. This is my first concert ever, by the way.

Here are some pics from the concert, and some pictures in London.

It is yet another year, hence another Malam Ukhuwwah for Malaysian Muslimahs of Belfast. For the first time it was done during the day (hence HARI Ukhuwwah) to suit the growing numbers of little kiddies (and their mummies). And for the first time too, it was held in a significantly larger venue, Morton Community Centre.

hihi.. aku pun x ingat exactly bile... tapi mase usrah tgh hari jumaat laa... mase ade kuiz telepon karat ke ape tah.. yg kite cam kalah... haha... tapi tu laa... mmg nganga ngongeng ngongeng je pun... tak ingat lirik... ahaks... Thu 24-Mar-2005 22:56

The Trip to Bristol

Made this prior to trip. Was left in Belfast though.
The wee ones were Awa's creations ;)

This is taken around 23/12/2004 - 3/1/2005. I was visiting two of my Banting friends, Aliza and Arel in Bristol. Fid, my housemate, joined us to go to London on Boxing Day. Met Najib and Gan in London. cK and Sis Wan came to visit from Cardiff and Southampton, respectively. We made a sinfully creamy tiramisu together, which picture I didn't take, to my immense disappointment right now. Sis Wan and I also went to Bath. Unfortunately it was winter and it was raining, so I only went to The Roman Bath.

So that's my trip on a nutshell. The rest of the itinerary was menghabiskan beras Aliza.

oo u pun kenal arel eh? what a small world it is... Sat 8-Jan-2005 08:50

Nostalgia. Circa 2001 . This was during our first month in Belfast. Everybody looked.. err.. younger. Some looked leaner. Some looked chubbier. I was still wearing contact lenses. Have a huge temptation to wear contacts again, but my budget doesn't permit. Where is my bapak gula???

There are not too many pictures that I took from this occasion. It was fun, really. Having raya on a weekend really makes a difference ("yelah, pergi kelas raya tahun lepas sape yg suruh?" ).

We had the celebration at Shaftesbury Leisure Centre, Belfast. Then my housemates and I strolled down the university and took some pictures as well.

lama nya tak nampak an dan aki.. ni gambar plg updet. bahagia dan sihat seseorg itu... Sun 28-Nov-2004 13:09

Some pictures from a family trip to Kuantan 2 months ago. I miss these characters

Is it wrong for me to say that... your 20 years-old sis is very lawa! Your sis yg lagi sorang tu, the one yg baru form 1, is very cute. But I think she has to put on a little bit more weight, because currently she's too skinny. Sat 9-Oct-2004 13:15

It's been a while since I updated this page. So these are just some snippets. Would have taken more pics if it didn't rain all week in Derry. Typical Irish weather.

Well, actually, I'm just a lazy bum. Hoho.

A pic from Belfast, all the others were from Derry.

Wowee... those are pretty pics faza! But I kinda feel that your house is like dullllll je... or am I having an optical illusion? Anyway, is pic no 8 and 9 pics of your house? Cantik gak eh... Rugi it wasn't completed when I was in belfast last year. Kalo tak, leh lawat. Fri 17-Sep-2004 04:24
